Urban – Rural Development Organization Uganda (URUDO-Uganda) is a non-profit, community-based organization (CBO) with no religious or political affiliation, founded in 2009. We were officially registered in 2010 with the Lyantonde district local government. Our establishment was a direct response to the ever-increasing disparities in development between urban and rural areas across Uganda.
URUDO-Uganda was initiated to actively support the government of Uganda and the private sector in bridging this crucial gap. We strive to reduce poverty, combat the spread and impact of HIV/AIDS, mitigate urban pollutants and poor garbage disposal, and foster equitable resource distribution. We achieve this by establishing collaborative, demand-driven integrated development programmes designed for long-term sustainability.

The alarming loss of natural forests and wetlands threatens our future. We mobilize rural communities for large-scale tree planting and sustainable land management, creating vital "sink tanks" for urban pollutants and restoring ecological harmony.
